During the event, occupational mental health in Chile was addressed and the presentation of the Psychosocial Risk Surveillance Protocol at Work, established by SUSESO.<\/strong>

El pasado viernes 15 de noviembre se llev\u00f3 a cabo el seminario \u00abLa Qu\u00edmica de la Felicidad y Bienestar en la Industria\u00bb, organizado por la Asociaci\u00f3n de la Industria Qu\u00edmica y del Pl\u00e1stico (Asiquim) Regional Zona Sur, un evento que reuni\u00f3 a expertos, profesionales y representantes del sector industrial para abordar la importancia de la salud mental en los entornos laborales, un tema de creciente relevancia en el contexto de los cambios sociales y econ\u00f3micos actuales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the key points of the seminar was the presentation of the Psychosocial Risk Surveillance Protocol at Work, established by the Superintendency of Social Security (SUSESO), a fundamental tool to identify and evaluate psychosocial risks that can affect the well-being of workers. protocol that also provides a clear and precise methodology so that companies can evaluate the factors that affect the mental health of their employees, such as work stress, excessive workload, poor environmental conditions and conflictive interpersonal relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mental health in Chile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to data from the 2021 National Health Survey, carried out by the Chilean Ministry of Health, around 30% of the working population in the country reported symptoms of work-related stress. This phenomenon has been identified as one of the main causes of occupational illness, which generates a high rate of absenteeism and low productivity. Illnesses related to stress and mental health are among the leading causes of medical leaves in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation of the protocol by occupational health experts was accompanied by discussions on effective strategies to reduce the negative impact of these risks, such as the implementation of wellness programs and the promotion of an organizational culture that values \u200b\u200bthe mental health of employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
