This is the case of Biphenyls\nPolychlorinated (PCBs), one of the chemicals that are part of\nPersistent Organic Compounds regulated by the Convention of\nStockholm, which establishes that before 2025 countries must implement\nconcrete actions to reduce exposure and eliminate PCBs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PCBs are commonly found in diluents\npesticides, paints and adhesives, welding, pump lubricants\nimpellers and turbines, among other products for daily and industrial use. Is\nIt is important to note that these substances do not degrade easily, so\ncan be transferred to air, water and soil, thus causing great damage to the\necosystem and human health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To eliminate them, it is necessary to have facilities, permits and\nappropriate technology due to the danger of these wastes. In our\ncountry, Hidronor is the only company authorized to do so, since it has\na facility specially designed and enabled to develop the\nmanagement of persistent organic hazardous waste disposal in\nhigh-tech treatment and disposal facilities that are\nfound outside the country, specifically in Europe.
