Between June 13th-16th and along with more than 700 companies, we participated in the most important National Fair in the northern part of our country for the mining and energy industry where we were part of the different business roundtables to keep ourselves updated with the challenges of the industry, both productive and environmental, aiming to strengthen our offer and be more efficient every day for our customers.

Aprovechamos esta instancia para conversar con los asistentes sobre los avances de las regulaciones vigentes con las que cada empresa deberá cumplir, así como acciones referidas a la eliminación de residuos peligrosos, el aporte de valor de la circular economy, y los nuevos cambios exigidos por la Comisión de Mercado Financiero (CMF) en relación al compliance ambiental, según lo cual,  las empresas deberán incorporar en sus memorias anuales el detalle de cuáles son los mecanismos de aseguramiento del cumplimiento de las obligaciones medioambientales que han puesto en marcha. 

Likewise, the Superintendency of the Environment (SMA), in collaboration with the public and private sectors, has begun to develop a pilot plan which we voluntarily agreed on, in order to form part of as the only company in the waste management field at the moment, and was part of the information shared with attendees.

“These instances are really valuable for the industry. In the different encounters, we’ve had a great reception from the attendees as well as interest shown in learning more about the environmental responsibilities, which reveals that our country is advancing towards better practices and we will work together to meet the established sustainability goals in a responsible manner”, highlighted Juan Andrés Salamanca, Hidronor Sales and Marketing manager.
