Construir un mundo más limpio es tarea de todos, sobre todo en la responsabilidad de generación de residuos. Al año, Chile produce más de 20 millones de toneladas de basura, cifra preocupante pero que se espera comience a disminuir con las nuevas medidas promovidas a nivel gubernamental, como la REP Law, o las iniciativas municipales con foco en el reciclaje de residuos orgánicos.

Para aportar a este objetivo común, en Hidronor te recomendamos algunas acciones que pueden ayudar a mitigar la generación de residuos, incrementar la circular economy y cuidar nuestro medio ambiente, ¡toma nota!:

• Reduce food waste: Buy only what you need and compost what you throw away.
• Buy in bulk: Today there are many stores that offer a large number of over-the-counter products, and you can bring your own containers to store them, avoiding the excessive use of plastic.
• Think and reduce what you consume: Each product that we acquire also brings with it waste. Think carefully if you need it and take responsibility for your waste: separate and recycle what you can to generate conscious consumption.
• Save energy: Whether through the use of renewable energies, energy saving light bulbs, the use of rechargeable batteries or unplugging chargers that you do not use, you can not only reduce your electricity bill, but also contribute to caring for the planet.
• Reduce the consumption of plastics and prefer those that contain eco-labels: We know that plastic is one of the worst enemies of our ecosystem, as it takes many years to decompose. Whenever you can, opt for other alternatives, or choose the containers with the signage "I choose-recycle".
• Take care of the water: Chile is going through one of its worst droughts in recent years, so it is important to take care of its consumption. Use it consciously when you wash the dishes, take a shower or water your patio.
