With the aim of promoting a change of consciousness and taking concrete measures that contribute to mitigating the devastating effects caused by global warming today, every October 24 we commemorate the International Day against Climate Change.

It is important to note that, although this anniversary has not been officially proclaimed by the United Nations Organization (UN), this body supports the initiative to generate actions to counteract the current situation, which is why many countries have taken this date as a milestone to frame a greater call for attention given that recent years have been marked by accelerated pollution resulting from human activity (such as the burning of fossil fuels, poor land use, excessive use of energy and industrial activities, among others ), which, consequently, has increased the emission of greenhouse gases.

Rising temperatures and sea levels, melting ice in the Arctic and the increase in extreme weather events such as droughts, fires, water shortages and floods, are just some of the consequences that those of us who inhabit the planet are suffering today, and it is our complete responsibility to put a stop to the current situation.

To achieve this, we offer you some tips to put into practice in your day to day:

  • Whenever possible, especially at the business level, use renewable energy sources (solar, wind, marine, geothermal energy, among others).
  • Buy biodegradable products that come from recycled or natural material.
  • Repair electrical and electronic equipment before replacing it.
  • Buy low-consumption electrical equipment, as well as light bulbs.

For more details on other actions that you could put into practice, we invite you to review our note on the National Environment Day

Together we can build a more sustainable world!
