La transición hacia una circular economy requiere capacidades concretas para recuperar materiales y reincorporarlos a nuevas cadenas productivas. En el ámbito industrial, este desafío demanda experiencia técnica, infraestructura especializada y trazabilidad durante cada etapa de la gestión.
At Hidronor, we work to transform industrial waste into new opportunities for recovery. In 2025, we recycled a total of 1,460 tons of waste nationwide, comprising 650 tons of lead-acid batteries, 560 tons of scrap metal, 200 tons of aerosols, and 50 tons of other industrial waste.
Each of these products requires specific procedures. In the case of lead-acid batteries, proper management allows for the recovery of valuable materials and the adequate control of their components. Scrap, meanwhile, can be sorted and processed for metal recovery and subsequent reintroduction into production processes.
Aerosols present a particular challenge, as their containers can retain residual substances and propellant gases. For this reason, we have developed specialized separation and washing processes that allow for the safe recovery of aluminum and iron by removing their classification as hazardous waste.
Our work addresses waste traceability across the various stages of management—from receipt and sorting to preparation and routing to recycling alternatives. In doing so, we assist companies across diverse productive sectors in meeting their environmental commitments and reducing the volume of waste sent for disposal.
As a member of the National Recycling Industry Association (ANIR), we are part of an ecosystem that promotes recycling and material recovery in Chile. At Hidronor, we contribute to this goal by leveraging over 30 years of experience, specialized infrastructure, operational capacity, and nationwide coverage to transform industrial waste into resources that can be utilized in new production processes.
The results achieved during 2025 reflect our commitment to responsible, safe, and traceable environmental management. In doing so, we continue to support the industrial and mining sectors in building more sustainable and safer operations.
