At Hidronor we have the waste recovery service to convert them into Solid Alternative Fuel (SAF) and Liquid Alternative Fuel (LAF), which can be used in various industries, such as Mining, Chemical, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Consumer Goods, Banking and Finance, Food, and for the manufacture of packaging, among others.
Energy recovery process (CAS and CAL)
Waste recovery is an important step toward a circular economy and reducing climate change. Therefore, at Hidronor, we focus on offering a high-quality service, with features such as complete traceability of waste recovery and disposal, high operational safety standards, and compliance with environmental and operating permits for industrial and hazardous waste.
Along these lines, we generate CAS based on waste such as textiles, wood, plastic, among others, and whose process consists of shredding the waste to a specific size requested by the end consumer, which is then used in cement kilns as an alternative fuel.
We also generate HFC from oils, lubricants, solvents, alcohols, and paints. The process begins with receiving the waste and then selecting those with a calorific value of around 7,000 kilocalories per kilogram. These are analyzed in our laboratories to measure critical parameters, such as metal content and the presence of certain compounds regulated by the recipients. After that, a formula is developed to properly combine all of this waste.
