Within the framework of our collaboration with Enap, we continue to promote concrete actions for responsible management of hazardous waste in Chile.

Recently, the state-owned company installed new containers for used batteries and cables at its Maipú and San Fernando plants, an initiative developed together with Hidronor to promote safe recycling and prevent the risks associated with their improper handling.

Hidronor will handle the collection, transport, and final treatment of these wastes, ensuring their traceability and compliance with the REP Law, strengthening the environmental commitment of both organizations.

🔋 Every action counts when it comes to protecting the environment: in Chile, more than 2,600 tons of batteries are discarded each year, but only 4% are recycled. That's why we value partnerships like this one, which promote the circular economy and collaborative work between companies and institutions.
