Published on June 12, 2017.-

World Environment Day, established by the United Nations National Assembly, is celebrated every year on June 5 in order to bring the population closer to environmental issues. At the same time, it aims to encourage the taking of an active role in the conservation of our planet.

On this date the commemorative activities vary between concentrations in the streets, ecological concerts, interventions in schools, tree plantations and recycling and cleaning campaigns for the different communes. Additionally, from a multimedia perspective, reports, television documentaries, photographic exhibitions, seminars, round tables and conferences are generated; all always linked to the conservation of our environment.

Around the world, this celebration is considered a perfect occasion to sign or revalidate international agreements, which in certain opportunities even leads to the establishment of permanent government structures, linked to environmental management and economic planning.
