With the goal of sensitizing the population on issues related to the care and importance of our ecosystem, World Environment Day is celebrated annually every June 5th. This date, decreed by the United Nations (UN) on December 15, 1977, aims to generate initiatives that motivate the sustainable development of our environment.

Since its inception, this day has been characterized by the development of multiple activities worldwide, such as concentrations of people on the streets, eco-friendly concerts, tree planting, recycling and cleaning campaigns, among others. However, the post-pandemic situation that we are currently experiencing has limited the achievement of these activities in the previous years, but this has not been an impediment to promote positive actions for environmental care.

Our country, for example, continues to work on establishing regulations that ensure a sustainable future. Such is the case for the National Roadmap for a Circular Economy by 2040, and particularly for EPR, which propose goals and actions aiming for our country to migrate towards a more sustainable model.

In this context, Hidronor plays a fundamental role in the environmental sustainability of the country, since it has provided environmental solutions to large mining and industrial companies nationwide for more than 25 years, ensuring that their services and the processes involved in each one of them are aligned to achieve a sustainable development that remains in constant innovation and allows the offering of productive, safe and sustainable integrated solutions to its customers, as a basis for environmental care and value adding to the development of industries.

The company is committed to providing integrated solutions in valorization, recovery, recycling, soil remediation, treatment and final disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, with nationwide coverage thanks to its three industrial plants located in the Biobío, Metropolitan and Antofagasta regions.

Let's work together for a more sustainable world!
