The initiative will transform 48 hectares of the current FCAB facilities into a unique asset for Antofagasta, seeking to improve the quality of life of its inhabitants. This project will cover key sectors such as Patio Bellavista, Patio Antofagasta, Patio Norte and Patio Sur, turning them into a neuralgic area for connectivity, recovery of heritage, and the creation of public spaces and green areas.
The Reconversion Plan is a visionary proposal from FCAB, developed in a technically and socially responsible manner, in collaboration with the community and operations management. Juan Andrés Salamanca, commercial manager of Hidronor and who also attended the event, pointed out that this milestone “represents a huge step that the region is taking towards soil remediation and turning Antofagasta into a city committed to sustainability.”
We invite you to read the official note from FCAB and find out about the details of this pioneering plan.
