The main objective of this activity was to introduce young people to waste management and the circular economy in a dynamic, educational, and engaging way, addressing key concepts related to environmental care, sustainability, and the "waste-to-resource" approach. Using simple and accessible language, we translated technical content to facilitate understanding and promote environmental awareness.
During the event, we presented audiovisual and technical material specially prepared for the occasion, addressing topics such as:
- The identification and classification of industrial and hazardous waste.
- The importance of proper waste management, treatment and disposal for environmental protection.
- Our role in the operations of Codelco's El Teniente Division.
- The contribution of the circular economy and the valorization and recycling of waste to the sustainable development of industry.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to the community, sharing our experience and promoting greater awareness among new generations about responsible waste management and environmental care.
