Chile, a country that is socially and environmentally vulnerable to climate change.

Last Wednesday, June 29, at the Hotel Francisco de Aguirre in La Serena, an important group of specialists, academics, representatives of civil society and public officials linked to environmental issues met to analyze aspects of this global climate phenomenon. This group projects negative impacts on agriculture, forests, drinking water, energy, mining, and more.

Based on the above, the Ministry of the Environment created the National Action Plan on Climate Change 2017-2022 (PANCC 2017-2022). This document collects national efforts to strengthen and coordinate the country's response capacity to this climate phenomenon.

In addition, together with the Low Emission Capacity Building Project and the United Nations Development Program, they will hold regional workshops and two seminars in Santiago and Concepción, to form new instances where aspects of the PANCC 2017-2022 are explained, such as managing change climate, disaster risk, among others.
