El pasado 15 de mayo, en Hidronor participamos activamente en la Semana de la Seguridad organizada por nuestro cliente Brenntag, con una charla centrada en la gestión de residuos peligrosos. Esta instancia nos permitió compartir conocimientos clave sobre el tratamiento seguro de residuos y destacar nuestro compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la circular economy.

During the talk—led by our Business Executive, Daniela Mancilla, and our Sales Engineer, Tiare Viveros—we addressed key topics such as:

• Waste classification in Chile (more than 18 million tons are generated annually, of which 600,000 tons are hazardous industrial waste (RESPEL).
• La legislación vigente que regula su gestión, incluyendo el Decreto Supremo 148, la REP Law y el Convenio de Basilea, entre otros.
• The hazardous characteristics that must be identified: flammability, toxicity, corrosiveness and reactivity.

This activity not only reinforced the importance of responsible waste management, but also provided a valuable opportunity to continue promoting the "from waste to resource" concept, aligning us with our clients' sustainability and regulatory compliance goals.
