On his recent visit to Chile, the Chancellor of the Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz, together with the President of the Republic of Chile, Gabriel Boric, delivered a joint statement to the press and led the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between both countries.

Among the topics contained in the signed document, the reinsertion of Chile, represented by CORFO, in the Eureka Innovation Network stands out, in addition to the implementation of the national strategy for the development of the green H2 industry, as well as multiple programs, calls and collaborative initiatives that address various challenges such as decarbonization, resilience and adaptation to climate change.

Likewise, the cooperation agendas materialized in the signing of agreements on technology and innovation, mining training and circular economy.

Finally, the German Federal Chancellor invited the President of Chile to join the Climate Club: a space to discuss and advance in the fight against global warming and of which several G-7 and G-20 countries are already a part.
