On July 29, 2016, within the framework of the Seminar "Role of Municipalities in the Recycling Law", Pablo Badenier, Minister of the Environment and Johnny Carrasco, Mayor of Pudahuel, celebrated the incorporation of this commune to the Municipal Environmental Certification System (SCAM).
The Municipal Environmental Certification System develops lines of work aimed at Local Environmental Management, Environmental Education, the Environmental Protection Fund and the promotion of Citizen Participation in the communes.
