Hidronor: More value to waste

LinkedIn

There is no doubt that the last year has been very complex, especially for some sectors such as waste management given that it is an essential activity, so keeping ourselves 100% operational has represented a major challenge for Hidronor.

In this sense, Jorge Stagno, the company's operations manager, points out that “we have felt the commitment and duty to maintain our operational continuity, since we provide a critical service for all our clients (…)”.

Added to this complex reality is a quite “moved” scenario given the new regulations on waste, such as Law 20,920 on Extended Producer Responsibility (REP) and the promotion of the circular economy as a new productive paradigm, initiatives that aim to reduce waste generation and increase its recovery in the country.

To face this scenario, "at Hidronor we enhance our capabilities and services day by day, as well as we explore new alternatives to respond to these challenges and meet the needs of our current and potential clients," says Stagno.

In addition, the executive adds that, in this line of REP opportunities, the company provides services for the recovery and recycling of plastics, metals and other materials that can be reprocessed and recovered. Likewise, Hidronor participates in the chain of valorization of other waste that is delivered to managers specialized in this work, as is the case with lead-acid batteries, and they have also evaluated options to valorise end-of-life tires (NFU), the first product REP with recovery and recycling goals already defined.
