Experts in product packaging in Chile indicate that one of the first actions has been to identify the type of packaging used by the trade and which of these have a valuation market, either in Chile or abroad. In addition, they indicate that in alliance with the trade union entity of food products and importers, work is being done to identify those materials that could be replaced by others that have a greater ease of recovery and that fulfill the same functionality or are better than the current ones.

Finally, they highlight the importance of having the necessary structure to adequately comply with the regulations of the REP Law, in which the partner companies agreed to start with the creation of a Waste Management System, which may be administered autonomously and Independent.
