Together with Greendot we have processed almost 2 thousand tons of plastic per year, among other hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste.

Chile produces more than 20 million tons of waste each year and, at the same time, is the second country in Latin America - after Mexico - that generates the most garbage, followed by Argentina, the Dominican Republic and Brazil, according to the report “What a Waste 2.0: A Global Snapshot of Solid Waste Management to 2050”, from the World Bank.

Given these alarming figures, and as a way to contribute to environmental sustainability, at Hidronor (in conjunction with Greendot, our subsidiary company dedicated to recycling and waste management in a transversal way) we grant comprehensive solutions for the management and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste, que incluyen los seis productos priorizados en la REP Law.

Es así como en 2023 logramos valorizar 8.500 toneladas de residuos peligrosos y no peligrosos, tales como: aceites, combustibles, envases, chatarra metálica, baterías, desechos electrónicos, cobre, plástico, entre otros, incluyendo los residuos que son transformados en Combustible Alternativo Líquido (CAL) y Combustible Alternativo Sólido (CAS). Asimismo, reciclamos casi 2 mil toneladas de plástico al año.

By 2024, both companies plan to increase participation throughout the country in order to provide the industry with a concrete recycling and recovery solution through compliance with current regulations.
