With the aim of recognizing the companies, organizations and actors that are promoting actions to reduce the waste that is finally deposited in landfills, the fourth version of the Zero Waste 2023 awards was recently launched, aimed at the industrial world.

In detail, this contest seeks to raise awareness about the garbage problem and its solutions, promoting cultural change and challenging more companies and people who dare to join the "Zero Garbage Route".

This time there will be five award categories:

  • Social impact: For companies, organizations or people who have promoted programs that raise awareness about the waste management process.
  • Mass consumption: Aimed at improvements that companies make to their products (for example, by using more recyclable packaging)
  • Industrial: To distinguish the improvements applied by companies in their production lines or that work with a waste manager to reduce the waste they generate
  • Innovation: Initiatives that have managed to increase waste recovery through research and/or use of technology
  • Cultural change: For that organization or company that has implemented training for collaborators and internal clients on the correct segregation of waste.

Those companies interested in participating may register until Friday, November 4 through the portal http://www.premioscerobasura.cl. The evaluation process will last two months and the award will be held on January 11, 2023 in a ceremony that will be attended by authorities and a multidisciplinary jury.

At Hidronor we support this type of initiative that contributes to the sustainability and circular economy of the country and we extend an invitation to all those companies that want to join to be part of this great commitment that will generate benefits for all.
