This initiative was carried out by UNESCO in order to raise awareness about the importance of this work, and also seeking to promote its incorporation into our daily lives as a daily task, as well as ecological.

UNESCO highlights that as conscious beings we are responsible for the waste we produce, and therefore we must take care of its correct elimination, always keeping in mind the Rule of The 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Taking into account this rule, it is recommended separate waste before placing it in the landfill, classifying it according to to container colors as follows:

  • Blue container: intended for the recycling of paper and cardboard.
  • Yellow container: to deposit containers such as bottles, cans and bags.
  • Contain light green: intended for glass recycling
  • Dark green container: for the rest of the waste that cannot be reused.
