Published on March 22, 2019.

On March 22 of each year, World Water Day is celebrated, a vital natural resource for human life, to commemorate this day the UN proposes the campaign "Leave no one behind" with the central promise of highlighting its importance within the Sustainable Development and the need for everyone to benefit from the process.

One of the goals of the project is to guarantee the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for the whole world from now until 2030. They emphasize that today millions of people still live without drinking water both at home, at school, as in their workplaces, struggling to survive and prosper.

The UN has defended since 2010 that "the right to drinking water and sanitation is an essential human right for the full enjoyment of life and all human rights." Therefore, it invites to generate an inclusion campaign, in which water supply services must meet the needs of marginalized groups and their voices must be taken into account in decision-making processes.
